INFORMATION

In order to provide help for older people, their relatives and carers, Age Concern York maintains a large information resource including a lending library. We have leaflets, booklets and specialist information on health, housing, welfare, finances, clubs, leisure activities, holidays and personal matters. Our staff and volunteers are available at Walmgate to discuss individual problem. We will visit people in their own home if this is necessary. We work closely with other agencies where appropriate. Contact: Our Information Officer on 627995 or 621020.

PUBLICATIONS

We sell the following books which are of interest to older people and their carers:

  • "Your Rights" - a guide to money benefits.
  • "Pay Less Tax" - a guide to the tax system, savings and investments
They are available from our reception office.
